STM32 dead gpio bypass
well.. dunno what happned either the pcb bottomed out and shorted a gpio or some esd thing idk but we have a row not working
first confirmed if its a damaged trace or the whole gpio is not working via the multimeter.. the trace was fine
next i checked the pin reading with multimeter and confirmed its the pin..
now what
well checked the schematics and turns out there is a empty unassigned io pin in the next row
checked the pcb firmware and physically with a multimeter and confirmed that pin is empty and not in use.
EZ, just short both pins and edit the qmk firmware to redirect that previousely non working row to the new pin
compile, flash and done we now have a working pcb
now i was able to do this because that dead io was either burned up from inside or idk but with multimeter i was getting no reading like it was not connected to anything else on the mcu so basically its dead pin, i flashed a blink program to the mcu for that pin with no response..
i mean if it works it works ig, from the beginning the ez perma solution was to replace the mcu doing this workaround was sort of an experiment which worked..
